Oswego doesn't have the hills that Duluth has. The entire city of Duluth is built on the side slope of a 750-800 ft tall hill. Oswego has an elevation differential of less than 200 ft.Sounds a lot like Oswego NY.Duluth, MN is great in the summer. 80+ degree afternoons only occur for about 2 weeks a year. Lake Superior keeps summers cooler than other places in the Midwest. Comparing Duluth to Thunder Bay is a slap in the face to Duluth.
I want to recommend Duluth MN, not because I know anything about it (an American Thunder Bay ONT?) but because I am dead chuffed that someone wrote a novel with that title.
As a resident of the Twin Cities, winters can be a bit rough (worse than Minneapolis) driving with some lake-effect snows and the steep hills that are throughout the city.
