not a bad idea! one of my kids had a summer job there, if i recall it was $18/hour in the bay area, and every night they gave away all the food from the bakery/deli area.A part time job at Whole Foods for OP and/or child may be a good suggestion. In addition to the salary, "Our most well-known benefit, every Team Member gets a 20% in-store discount on their favorite products. Team Members also get an additional 15% discount on select products from our food bars!"
so by working the closing shift we constantly had bread, cookies, muffins, etc in the house. i think it was other groceries too, i remember some free cheese...
