Am I missing something? Is there no closed caption or a transcript?
Transcripts of podcasts are usually available within a few days on BogleCenter.net.
Perhaps closed captioning should be made available at the same time when the podcasts are posted.

Why should the deaf and hearing impaired folks be treated as an after thought?

Everyone who is not deaf or hearing impaired can enjoy the podcast right away while the deaf and hearing impaired folks have to wait for a few days and that's just usually the case but not guaranteed?

Isn't that a form of neglect or disenfranchisement?
I used to be the vice president of a volunteer fire department. I had a saying, if you thought something should be done, then you just volunteered to take charge of it.

Everyone here is a volunteer. If you wish to see an immediate and accurate transcript right after a podcast is posted, then do it.
So, instead of acknowledging the relevance and validity of addressing accessibility, you conveniently shift the burden to those who want to bring awareness of something important and overlooked?

Just because everyone is volunteer does not mean that it would cost substantial amount of money to provide accessibility. A lot of time, the reason why something is lacking is simply because of lack of awareness.

I sure hope you don't mean that accessibility is trivial and so if someone thinks it's important they should just do it themselves.
