Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Advice needed, not enjoying new job

37 years old, single. Licensed Architect in Colorado

13-15 years from Financial Independence
8-10 months of emergency funds
$3,000-3,500 monthly expenses
$1,200 month of passive income

I have a part time side job that I can turn into full time for the winter seasons only (3,500-4,000 per month). If I did that combined with my liquid cash saved I can sustain 2 years before having to dip into retirement accounts (which I def don't want to do) or having to get a part time summer job.

I enjoyed the projects and co-workers at the 10 year firm. The boss has a big ego and probably wouldn't take me since "I left him" but I can always try. I reached out to him yesterday about getting lunch, waiting to hear back.
I left a job and two years later told my old boss I was interested in coming back to my old job. He said he knew i would be back. I told him he was right and I needed to stay busier than I was in early retirement. He hired me back with a cost of living raise and I worked from age 53 to 60 there. I Helped my sales team win a very large radar contract. Tell your boss you made a mistake and that you will require minimum training and will be value added to team. I bet he will try to help you.
