Investing - Theory, News & General • At what level of investible assets: stock market vs real estate?

I buy real estate to live in ( 2 houses ) and buy index funds for investing. Real estate requires more time, upkeep, and taxes. Of course some folks I know have made a bundle in real estate but I think those who do are very familiar with the markets they buy real estate in and are very patient when they buy for below market prices and desired locations.

For a know little about the real estate market like me I think index investing has a higher probability of investing success. And yes you need more money to invest in real estate but that’s no guarantee of investing success.
