Is there anything in this thread that has not already been covered thoroughly by numerous other threads on bonds? And yet we're still here. I found the information in the link interesting and for those who are interested in this topic, I recommend it. But yes, links are of not interest to people who don't use them. I suggest they scroll past in peace.Did he say anything interesting that we haven't already covered thoroughly? (Lots of redundant info "out there".)Ben Felix had an interesting video on bonds.
I'm not much of a "go click this link" person.
I do agree that when presenting a link like that a couple of sentences to describe what is interesting about it would be appropriate.
But, the question by the OP was completely reasonable and also has been answered over and over again in past threads. The OP has possibly not read any of those or any of the educational information available from many sources. When that reading has been done then it is certainly appropriate to ask additional questions that come up or to ask for explanation of things that are still confusing. Those past threads certainly contain enough of that.
But, in broader terms, this is an on-line forum and these tend to be characterized by ongoing asking about things that have already by discussed many times. I used to find this annoying and take the askers to be basically lazy people who want someone else to do their work for them. As time has gone on I see this as more just the dynamic that is natural to an on-line forum. If you put out an invitation to ask about things, then surely people will in fact ask about them. And so it goes on. Everyday people come along who find the current discussions interesting.
