Also keep in mind state income taxes if you live in a state that has them. Deferred gives you the potential to skip the state income taxes entirely if you later relocate.
Or not. Op is in FL and not paying state income taxes. If moving to a state with income tax in retirement, there might be a higher total tax rate on traditional 401k withdrawal. This would be a reason to use Roth instead of traditional. But I don't think it is likely.
