Your dogs' breeder is the first place to go if you get to the point of rehoming - if you signed a contract, there may be a clause that the dogs go back to them if you can no longer keep them. With as supportive as they've been, I would be most comfortable asking them to take in and rehome the pups even if it wasn't a requirement. I'd put this in my will and also ask the breeder who their emergency plan is; maybe that person would be willing to take yours on as a favor to the breeder if everyone was gone....

The elder law attorney, fiduciary, and canine rescue organization ideas are great suggestions that I will look into.

For something unplanned, I'd start building a relationship with a local petsitter. Even if you're home, start sending the dogs for a couple of days once in a while so they and the petsitter get used to each other. My goal would be to get to a point where I could say "the key is located here, I'll double your fee and let you know when I can come get them" in case of short term emergency. Also, since you have property, are you in a location where you could build large outdoor kennels? If the weather is safe and the kennels are secure, the dogs could live outside for a couple of days with someone coming by to toss food and refill water buckets through the fence. Not ideal in a perfect world but a lighter lift for the helper.
