If the HSA is part of your retirement portfolio, then I would put funds in it that are appropriate for a Roth IRA, for example equity funds with the highest expected returns. If the HSA is for immediate medical expenses, then a low risk fund would be appropriate.
My HSA is part of my overall AA for retirement. It is 100% TSM. I try to hold only 1 fund in my smaller accounts.
