Help: I'm trying to understand IRMAA in the wiki using the examples and for the life of me, it appears that they use 2023 tiers based on 2023 income because the thresholds and brackets described seem to both come from 2023. None of the numbers described appear to come from 2022 and 2024. Or do I still need to keep trying to understand IRMAA?
To illustrate this challenge, note that numerical examples here use the 2024 tiers, based on 2022 income, but it is likely (e.g., see 2022 2023 2024 Medicare Part B IRMAA Premium MAGI Brackets) that 2025 IRMAA tiers, based on 2023 income, will have higher breakpoints due to inflation.
