Non-US Investing • Vanguard accounts with foreign address

... Now I am told that in order to "upgrade" the Brokerage Account the foreign address is not permitted. Any suggestions?

Nope. In a similar situation, no solution offered by Vanguard so far. On the upside, they also have not (yet) started charging me $25/holding for the privilege of being held hostage in an old mutual fund only account. I await with interest, not to mention some trepidation, the day when Vanguard's unstoppable move to brokerage meets Vanguard's immovable refusal to move non-US residents.

Out of interest ... US citizen, or US nonresident alien? It might have some bearing; if nothing else, being a US citizen probably gives you more avenues for alternatives than being a US nonresident alien.
