But I am unable to sleep well now. I worry that I could lose 50% of it. Hence I am trying to de-risk and simplify. And I dont know what is the best path to achieve that.
A TIPS ladder is the way to de-risk, simplify, and sleep well at night.

Build the ladder to fund your yearly expenses in retirement and put the remaining part of your net worth into equities/real estate.

You can only fund the ladder out 30 years, but you can buy new TIPS as these become available over the years.

Using the ladder building tool at tipsladder.com and having a TIPS maturing each year from 2029- 2053 with a real value of 120K/year, the ladder would cost you about 2.2MM to construct today.

You can build and house this ladder at Fidelity.
