I guess that will be zip code specific.AARP UHC is one of the most expensive insurers when you hit 85 where I live, as the big discount they give you when you sign-up is now gone.Except it is the cheapest once you hit age 85 or so, because of the community pricing. Relevant in a state with a birthday rule.AARP UHC is really not community priced.
They give you a big discount up front and then reduce it a little each year.
So, your premium goes up due to your age each year - that is normally called attained-age pricing.
AARP UHC is being deceitful when they give you a discount up front, increase your premium due to age, and then call it community pricing.
Even though their price doesn’t increase from age 85 to 100, there is still an attained-age insurer that is less expensive than AARP UHC at age 100 for both Plans G and N.
