Not sure why Mint isn't working for you when T-Mobile was.

Roaming.

Mint uses the T-Mobile network and only the T-Mobile network. A T-Mobile postpaid plan has the T-Mobile network and unlimited domestic roaming. If you aren't near a T-Mobile tower you're out of luck.

Mint Mobile, despite its popularity on here, is not just a cheaper T-Mobile.
