You don't know how much it will cost to repair and I wouldn't want to guess. You may be very shocked! Also, unless you intend to conceal the fact that damage has been repaired, the value of the car will be impaired. Trading it in as-is will probably be an even bigger hit, but at least you'd be done with the story.I'm guessing that the repairs will be $3k-$4k, again, out of pocket. I bought the car a year ago, before new car prices started to soften, so I "overpaid". But it's a sunk cost. I've been heavily considering trading it in for the car I really want, and so I view this possibly as an opportunity to just do that.
