Seeing all of the great questions and answers on these forums triggers my curiosity
My plan, thus far, has been to take the foot off the gas a bit in the last 5 years of my career (my plan, at least). That is, to not contribute to 401k any longer and to work with my existing portfolio and growing that to my target number.
However, my company offers a Roth 401k option. (Up to this point, I have always done after-tax 401k).
I've done Roth IRAs in the past...but I don't believe that i will qualify for it this year.
Does it make sense to stay invested and contributing to a Roth 401k, instead of coasting a bit.
I had only really never considered the Roth, as it was a bit of a financial hit to take during my accumulation phase.... contributing the max in after-tax dollars was not in the budget.
Thoughts? Is the Roth 401k just too good to pass up.....even if i can or "want to" put in a small amount?
