lots of luck with that. the chance of this changing is quite close to zero, IMO.No, we don't have to use it and I for one will not, but to say that "no one is going to change the vectors for us" is not quite accurate. I will be complaining about this to my senators and congressman and if enough people do likewise, change will happen. If we sit back and do nothing then government will eventually force us all to maintain an internet connection and divulge all of our most sensitive personal information to be shared with 3rd parties we know nothing about all for the convenience of government agencies.
btw- Insurance companies, credit bureaus and data aggregators (I'm looking at you Palantir) have more info on you than you have on yourself. Americans don't care about privacy. If they did, Zuck et all would not be so wealthy.
