Are you speaking of Co-housing or something different. We were really interested in the concept but couldn't find the climate we liked or a community in a not so favorite climate that would make it worthwhile.

Canada is more conducive to these (as are many other countries around the world.) Especially Scandanavia (But tough to immigrate to as a senior)

Buy a village in Italy, or Portugal and restore it. (incentives exist)
