I read your other thread that said you had only been working in your current job of IT security x 4 years and were bored with work.

There are worse things in life than a boring, easy job with a stable paycheck. I’d try to look at improving your life outside work first. Do you have fun hobbies, a partner and a good social life? If not, maybe focus on that first.

Doesn’t hurt to look around for a better job, but I personally wouldn’t borrow a bunch of money without a good plan. Some organization will sell you a degree with dreams of a better life but it is really buyer beware for those degrees. It doesn’t sounds like you have millions in assets so you still need to think about making money.

There are plenty of virtually guaranteed jobs in health care that you could get with 2-4 years of training. Nursing, Physicians Assistant, respiratory therapist. I’m a doctor so am familiar with the medical field. There are interesting parts of health care but it is hard work and can get somewhat boring after doing for 10-20 years. In some sense that is the point — the patient wants someone who has mastery of their skills not seeing someone who feels their condition is exciting and isn’t sure what to do.

From reading on bogleheads about people’s jobs software has some of the best pay / work load ratio of jobs out there. There is a downturn now but reading past threads on here seems like many great situations are available if you can focus on positioning yourself for one when the market improves.

What don’t you try starting a technology business on the side? Seems like the internet and the cloud makes it possible to start a business without a lot of capital.
