Another great interview, I was particularly intrigued by your segment on getting the customer come up with their own asset allocation. I often wonder if there is a decent systematic way of determining someone's risk profile for asset management, but this may be difficult because it's more of a personality aspect. The best approach is to get someone to think about the situation themselves.
I also like the real estate mention, even though I don't really know how to invest in real estate (I do owe a home).
In one of your segment, you mentioned some of your clients reducing their income to qualified for ACA even though they are worth $4M. Would these client run into issue down the road with RMD when they should be Roth converting?
