Personal Consumer Issues • Costco - Executive Membership for big purchases

Not so minor quibble for us, up to a certain rebate limit, you must go to the warehouse to use the annual Exec voucher; same for the annual rebate voucher on the Costco Citi Visa, you must cash it in the warehouse. This is an inconvenience and was a major one during covid. Our home warehouse is 45 min away; our condo warehouse is closer.
The past couple of years Costco/Citi has allowed the credit card rebate to be transferred directly into a bank account. Worked well. I don't think that option is available for the executive member rebate.
I believe the credit card rebate is once a year, same as the exec member rebate, but offset. We looked at our spend on the Citi card and came to the conclusion, for our current life style, that waiting up to/more than a year to get an extra 2 or 1% on gas, travel etc was more than we wanted to wait for the small sum of money involved for our spend. The 2% from Fido is hassle free and I get it monthly. Amex Everyday is 3% on gas and I get that monthly. We froze the Citi card and put it in the drawer.

Your mileage may vary.
