Don't even do it one room at a time. Carve a bit of time out once a week and make that a complete session. Perhaps one entire bag of "stuff" to donate, one to trash. Put it in the car and get rid of it. Would you buy it today if you didn't have it? No? Let it go.Excellent thread. Been overwhelmed for quite a while. Made some progress but then after several months went by, I went back into the room I was 'doing' and forgot which bag was which and so on. Ugh. Then I left it alone for even longer. So, I need to get back to this task and break it down to 'one thing at a time' in that one room, but then there are other things that ALSO need doing that I have to just say 'not yet' to until I can successfully manage that ONE room. Then, I can go on to 'those kitchen drawers' for example (ugh).
I'll have to look up a few of these people - I'd never heard of Max Paxton for example. Thanks, and I know it'll be a sort of slower process than I'd like, but at least I've got to get started again.
