great! see you again in 3 years?
Why doesn’t the system auto buy the fund once the funds transfer from my checking account?
Why on earth would it? How should it know what you want that money invested in?
Vanguard has a system where I select VTSAX and it automatically pulls funds from my checking account and buys the shares.
So does Fidelity. Scheduling a purchase and having it pull the funds from elsewhere is completely different than what you were first talking about which is pushing the funds to Fidelity and then having it auto-magically know you want those funds that were pushed to them used to buy something.
No. You have to do 2 different transactions at Fidelity.
