Personal Consumer Issues • What to outsource? Willing to trade money for more time

Hi, looking for ideas on to outsource to save time. We need to try to free up more time. Below is the list of items we outsource or are planning to. Looking for feedback and any other ideas?

We are busy, working professionals trying to juggle demanding jobs and home life. We are willing to trade money for time, within reason. We are spending a lot of time outside of work on chores, maintenance, and running the household. We are looking to free up more time to focus on health, nutrition, our family, and some self-care.

Outsource or plan to:
- Yardwork: weekly yard care, annual pick up
- House cleaning: every other week housecleaning service to help stay atop deep cleaning
- What else can we outsource? Maybe try grocery delivery service? We tried meal prep services and that was a no-go for our family
- We hire out items that need to be done around the house such as: HVAC jobs and maintenance, plumbing, electrical...we used to try to do some of it ourselves, the simpler items, but lately we lean towards outsourcing.
- Dry cleaning: a service picks up at our house and drops off when it is ready

What do you outsource to save time or that has been helpful to you? I am willing to trade money for time and less stress.

Thanks
Outsource all your laundry. Not just dry cleaning. There are places that charge by the pound. Your stuff comes back clean, folded, and shri k wrapped. I think I paid about a buck a pound, or around 30 dollars per week.

Lots of people do grocery delivery, although I haven’t tried it. Seems like it would be a time saver.

Why not have weekly house cleaning? If you’re going to outsource it, really outsource it. Be a steady reliable, oredictable customer for your house cleaners.

Honestly, a “personal shopper” for clothing is pretty great if you care about that sort of thing.

Do you go to the gym? Do that at home too. And hire a personal trainer to come by once a week….
