Town sewer or your own septic system? If municipal sewer, what and where was the problem?
When a friend on town sewer had a backup due to an off-property sewer collapse, the town repaired it and the town's insurance covered the homeowner's costs.
If it's all your own infrastructure, I agree with everyone else, read your policy and possibly talk to your agent. I have been mildly surprised a few times by insurance companies providing goodwill coverage that was outside of the letter of the policy, you never know.
That said engaging your agent cuts both ways, if it's outside policy they might become concerned about lingering damage and/or a repeat.
