I love this thread. I still have some of that Blue-Black Pelican 4001 ink from twenty years ago. Glad to see it is back.
I've been studying calligraphy for a long time and during COVID, lots of instructors starting teaching on zoom. It really helped pass the time to have something to practice from week to week, and you can watch the videos too (much better than a live class imo). It was a treat to be able to study with teachers from overseas too.
I recently picked up a few vintage typewriters from estate sales. I had the first one - a 1933 Underwood - fully restored by John Lewis Mechanical Antiques in Albuquerque. It looks brand new now and types much better with a new platen installed (the old ones get hard as a rock!).
I can't figure out how to upload an image of mine, but it looks even nicer than the one on John's website:

The second one - a blue Smith-Corona Silent-Super was in better shape and I cleaned it myself, but I'd still like to get a new platen for it. The latest one is a maroon Corona that is really dirty so that will be a project and a half!
