I'll third the minivan. It isn't just seats you need but also space for all the gear that goes with picking and dropping them off at extra curricular activities. The minivan also has nice perks such as automatic sliding side doors so you can push a button and the kids can hop in and you push it again to close the door without ever having to get out or worry about kids flinging open the door and dinging the car next to you in tight parking. The rear seats also fold down flat into the floor to allow you to haul even more and bigger objects when you don't have so many kids in the vehicle. At they get older and develop longer legs, those stuck in the back seats will really appreciate the expansive legroom the third row of a minivan has compared to an SUV.
