Nothing about our last 25 years has been typical. We have had many bumps in the road. The specifics probably are not relevant here.OP - Congratulations on a successful financial journey! We are a 56 year old married couple

You have a high HHI but not unheard for the BH community. However, your net worth on the high end. How did you do it? We have similar income (starting 3 years ago) and trying to learn a thing or two. Thank you and congrats again!!
In general, we saved as much as possible each year. We have always had an aggressive asset allocation. The stock market run certainly has helped. We spend selectively and intentionally. And we have always been generous with our giving and love for those close to us.
I don’t think there’s any magic. In fact, I would give all of our savings away if we could start again 25 years ago and have a different course.
Best of luck.
