That's is a true and a valid point. I'm trying not to throw off my maturity schedule too much. I would rather only have 1 I-bond mature a year. However, for that to work, I not only have to go through this fixed rate update, but the next one too. Decisions, decisions.However, if you buy now you will get six months at 5.27% followed by six months at 4.27% (assuming that the fixed rate stays at 1.3%), but if you wait, you will start at 4.27% and miss out on the 5.27%.
