Just curious, how did you come up with the 120k number? Was this an average of the last few years? When you were working, were you actually able to save the difference between your salary and the 120k. Our numbers for retirement spending are very similar , 120k a year. I tracked the amount in quicken for the last 4 years. Even with inflation, are numbers year to year were similar. I would find it very difficult to cut expenses 40% for retirement. I actually expect that are expenses are going to go up, due to higher discretionary spending. You noted to have some "one-off" expenses. These are an expected unknown. I don't know how much or when , but I do expect that they will happen.
