Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Able to Retire Early, but concerned with Healthcare Coverage

Whether that's a good idea depends on whether the hospital networks are comparable, because that's what the insurance is really for, in my opinion.
Hospital networks are hardly the only reason to carry insurance. More than half of all Americans have chronic medical conditions, some of which require very expensive drugs that most mortals could not afford without insurance.
Fair enough, and I also hear that some shorter-term drugs can be atrociously expensive. Does anyone here know how much the formularies differ by plan, especially with regards to these very expensive drugs? How often are they just not covered at all on some plans but covered by other plans?
