Personal Finance (Not Investing) • RIP edmunds.com....how can one evaluate the value of a used car now?

For those who don't know, Edmunds.com, once a valuable reference source of information to estimate a reasonable value/price range for a car, has become no more than an online shopping mall and all that valuable reference material is gone.

Kelly Blue Book is notoriously high in its estimates, so that's not an option IMO.

ugh. Are there other newer sites maybe I don't know about?

I used to work at Edmunds in the 2000s. Was a great place to work, great folks, privately owned etc. A decent amount of the tech folks went over to truecar after 2010 or so no idea beyond that but I am assuming that the owner who ran the company when I was there passed it on to his son/family and they sold.
