Very true . . .
I’d love to have $5m with $50k of expenses. Unfortunately my expenses are closer to $80k. At $5m I can pretty much live off of dividends with a little draw down.

But the question is: what does the OP want to spend money on that they aren’t already? After you pay your normal living standards stuff, additional spending should be on stuff that brings you joy. And spending more here doesn’t always result in better.
Agreed. Being naturally frugal myself, it seems ridiculous to spend just to spend. Part of my fun is to be cheap; beating the markets against professionals is hard, but beating the marketing of professionals is easy. I only buy what will make me happy long-term and no more.
