Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Job change from megacorp to mid-size company?

Update after 3 years

The advice to stay with the Megacorp was spot-on, thanks everyone. I passed on the chance to go back to my previous employer, and it was the best decision: I remain much happier, the WLB has been great, I've picked up a lot of new skills and we've done fine money-wise.

While my previous employers fortunes had swung up suddenly, they also came back crashing down equally fast a couple of years later... would have been a wild, stressful ride for me, setting me back in both career and financial goals had I gone back. Clearly I was risking a lot in trying to 'get rich quick' there.

Thanks everyone, for the advice here.
The wisdom of not following short term performance proves itself not only in investing but also careers.

Just because a stock skyrockets doesn't mean it will continue to do so; it could be a mirage.
