For the bulk of taxable VTI, I got Schwab to match (or slightly beat) an offer from Fido. So, it doesn't hurt to ask. The Schwab rep, of course, wouldn't even touch matching better offers I ran by him from M1, or TastyTrade. But the market has changed since last Sept. Whatever it is, still doesn't hurt to try to get companies to play ball, or as icarus18 stated ask for a retention bonus.I'm considering doing the same (or maybe seeing if Schwab would give some kind of retention bonus). Let us know if you get any attractive offers! I also doubt you'll get anything close but you might get something good.Agreed with nalor’s pt.Hold period is reasonable for the bonus amount. Cost basis mistakes or lack of visibility are notI was finally able to enroll. The holding period is until 8/31/25. Much longer than I would like so I will have to think this over before going ahead.
My money is tied up in other transfer bonuses, but, my concern with webull for taxable would be if they reliably show you cost basis tracking per tax lot without messing it up.
cak144, you can reach out to Schwab, and/or E*Trade/Morgan Stanley, or Fido to see if the big companies would match WeBull, but I highly doubt it. You could bounce it off M1, but don’t think they’ll bite either.
