Funny, at the beginning of this month, in a continuing effort to simplify my portfolio, I sold a few stocks which I had accumulated over the years from mergers and spinoffs that I did not feel strongly about and put the proceeds into VTI. No timing other than "let me do this right at the start of the month". Image may be NSFW.Hey bogleheads.. Is it too late to invest in VTI? It's performed so well that it may have peaked and I feel it may fall if the market falls.

This is a long term investment that will likely end up with our heirs. One might consider that a "peak" at that time, but interestingly it is still up since then. It really does not matter, as this is a long term holding for me. Having been in the market is the mid-80s, I expect future peaks and valleys, but I will be patient and just ride them out.
