Does anyone have experience with having a relative living in a for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community?
As we are looking at choices between the for-profit and the not-for-profit CCRC's here, the biggest difference I have seen so far is that the for-profit facility here will not promise to allow you to stay if your funds run out through no fault of your own.
But since the for-profit CCRC is completely full now, there has to be some advantages of choosing this over a not-for-profit CCRC, or else they would have no residents. Does anyone know of any reason or advantage to pick this one (assuming the amenities are equal) over a non-profit place?
Thank you for your advice
