Personal Consumer Issues • Vanguard website succumbs to "Fisher-Price" UI design

Logged in today to do my Backdoor Roth. I noticed that VG is showing the % increase/decrease for its mutual funds during the trading day. How is that possible?

Also, what happened to the ability to see your account dividend/capital gain distributions? It used to be there...no it is not!
Go to Holdings -- drop down box has an option to look at distributions.
Unfortunately, the old report of Capital Gains/Dividends is no longer there. I had to run a report for 2023 and it was 15 pages long and doesn't total it automatically like it did before. Very disappointed.
If I’m thinking of the same report to which you’re referring, it’s still there. It took me the time equivalent of digging for oil to find it.

After logging in to your account:

Click Tax forms and instructions

Click Year-to date-tax activity

Scroll down to the “Want more detail?” link.

Click Dividends and capital gains

I think this is the screen you’re looking for.

This is yet another one of the many examples of Vanguard’s half-assed approach to “revamping” its website. Unfortunately, we’ve been left with a product that combines its legacy web interface with some new screens resulting in extremely poor website navigation to efficiently find what you need.

The expression “putting lipstick on a pig” comes to mind.
