2013 (age 34) - Found a piece of paper in my nightstand dated Sept. 13, 2013 with the following information:
Equity in home based on purchase price - $191,641.94
Equity in home based on current value (Zillow) - $146,641.94
Checking - $12,278.19
401k - $121,569.83
Brokerage Account - $19,652.32
Net Worth - $300,142.28 (used current value of home)
Did not keep track for the next eight years.
2021 (age 42) - $2.1 million
2022 (age 43) - $1.9 million (market drop)
2023 (age 44) - $2.3 million (market gain, home equity)
It is hard to believe in 2013 I lost big $$ on a home purchased in 2008. Also, I explained my stupidity in the "Biggest Financial Mistakes" thread.
