Be prepared for the dealer to NOT accept your trade in. I purchased a new car 4 years ago and the dealer refused to accept my trade in. They said it wasn't' worth the hassle to sell it at auction. We went round and round about it, but they flat refused to purchase it (2006 Honda Accord). I was very surprised. I ended up selling it to Carmax after purchasing the new car.
