Investing - Theory, News & General • Asset allocation approaching retirement

Hi Forum,
My husband (57) and I (55) are planning to retire in 5 years. Up until now, we've used a 60:40 asset allocation and have been comfortable weathering the storms and up and down markets with that. However, now that we're within 5 years of retirement, we've noticed that we've become uneasy with having 60% of our retirement savings in stocks. With that 5 year time horizon until retirement, how (if at all) should we adjust our asset allocation?
As always, many thanks!

60/40 in retirement is fine. I am similar and gliding down to 70/30 for retirement.

Me personally, I like some of my bond allocation in short term bond fund so I have less volatility and can spend from for the case we had intermediate bonds get hit hard for a couple years.
