Personal Consumer Issues • Books on project management?

Over the past 15 years I've run a lot of projects, everything from field research to ~$15M commercial developments. However, these have all been pretty cut and dried: the objectives easily defined, the steps fairly linear, everyone on the same page. Soon I'm going to start big project in a new area. In this case the objective is going to need clarifying, the path will need figuring out, and we'll need regular reassessments of the progress, the steps ahead, and the goal. So, I am thinking a little more about project management as a practice. I'm not quite ready to go as far as PMP training, but I am interested in some good books or shorter trainings that might help me organize everything. Any suggestions?
