Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Do you include pension and SS in your AA?

WhiteMaxima,
I’ve got a pension. I don’t include it. I mean, I can’t sell it. I can’t liquidate it. It’s just a steady chunk of monthly income. Covers beer, utilities, burritos, and property taxes. I consider it a small monthly paycheck I receive each month. Come to think of it, I didn’t include my government salary in my AA, either. Don’t get me wrong, it’s just an annuity that took me 28 years to purchase.. at the tune of 10.5% of my monthly gross income. Come to think of it, maybe I SHOULD include it. I could reverse engineer what number a 4% SWR rate is on the monthly income, and start claiming I was Daddy Warbucks. But as pointed out up stream, it’s going to die with me. I dunno. I’m back to NOT counting it. :beer
