You would think that he would be getting better the more times he got rid of people. It didn't make sense to me that after killing Freddie he just left him in his car on the side of a road. When he got rid of Dickie he made it look like he could just be missing.RE Ripley: he is a good actor/manipulator, has luck and just barely gets away with things.
The book it's base in as called "The Talented Mr. Ripley."
A lot of the things you see taking place in this series (like pasting a photo on someone else's passport) wouldn't be possible today due to technology.
Another big story whole is you'd think that the parents would have sent a picture of Dickie when he went missing. They did hire a PI after all. That would have blown the whole story up.
I did enjoy the series though.
