2a, yes the entire September account and all funds in it cannot be transferred in kind.

At Schwab, it looks like I can buy both WGIFX and RBCUX. I would guess this means you could transfer them in-kind to Schwab. Maybe not. But it might not hurt to check whether Schwab or Fidelity can transfer the account in-kind before incurring capital gains.

I bolded the first step I would take in this transfer process, fund by fund.

Side comment: I keep reading AUM stories where the managers pick high ER funds. Crazy. Are they getting kickbacks ?
