HOWEVER, please be sure that the slab into which you plan to drill is not a post tension slab.
- If it is an elevated slab, such as in a condo exterior balcony, the chances that it is post tension are great.
- If it is a slab on grade in an area with expansive soils, there is also a good chance it is post tension - that really depends upon the are of the country you are in.
If you drill into a post tension slab and hit a tendon, you have just structurally compromised the slab and the fix can costs tens of thousands.
