I called Treasury Direct this morning at 6:30 AM PST. After going through the rather long menu my call was taken immediately by the agent. He was very efficient and resolved my issue. I am both very surprised and impressed.The phone number works ok now that the crush of people buying ibonds is lessened (though now maybe there is a crush of people getting out of ibonds). Try calling early in the morning, maybe not on Monday.Three weeks ago I sent an email to treasury direct and did not get a response. Friday I resent the request and got an immediate response: treasury direct no longer responds to emails. They suggested a toll-free number. Good luck with that.
