401K (~$210K):
- 70% VOO Total Stock Market
- 30% VXUS Total International Stock Market
Roth IRA ($322K):
- 60% VOO Total Stock Market
- 30% VXUS Total International Stock Market
- 10% VNQ Total Real Estate Index
Brokerage Taxable Account ($160K):
- 50% VTSAX/VTI Total Stock Market
- 50% VTEBTotal Municipal Bond Market (due to my tax bracket)
I would change VTI in the 401k and IRA to VOO or some other S&P 500 fund (or large cap, etc. - not VTI), so you don't have to think about wash sales.
VNQ seems to be less than 5% of your overall portfolio, so I agree that it is just clutter and not worth keeping at that level. If you really believe in it, then you probably will need to increase the % for it to make any meaningful difference in portfolio performance.
VTEB average duration is 6.5 years. If that aligns with when you might need the money, rock on, but reassess if not.
