House under contract as buyer. Contract says seller will reimburse buyer up to $750 for home warranty.
Given all the headaches, hoops, gotchas etc... of these warranty schemes I assume the prevailing wisdom of BH's is to pocket the $$? I would do this by a free cancel of the warranty within the first 30 days.
Newly installed kitchen appliances, roof, hot water heater, and sump pump. HVAC is near end of life - could die this year or go another 5+ years. Separate from home warranty I negotiated $3,000 credit. So the idea would be to just save the cash and not mess around with the warranty company.
