When I see things like this it brings back a true story.
My wife worked for a major bank 30 years-ago. Her boss / supervisor was responsible for reviewing the list of accounts coming up for transfer to the state. If the customer did not respond to the letter sent out or reactive the account, the supervisor move the funds to their spouses business account. This went on for over 7 years and they took over $1M. Then one day a customer came looking for their funds and the gig was over.
Results: They took the supervisors 401(k), pension and they received 1 year and a day in Federal prison.
